I don't understand why these "aren't worthy of their own thread". I would be much more inclined to look at them if they were in fact in their own thread.

Nice shot. Weird question but.....By any chance was this taken next to a river a couple hours outside of St. Petersburg? My wife's family has a dacha out there (which I've visited) and it looks EXACTLY like your scene. Probably way off but had to ask. ;-)a

Thank you very much. If you mean lighting, you are looking at it in the shot. :) I was literally demonstrating candle light portraiture for a class and I couldn't cheat with extra light. lol

exif is above the shot and is correct.
