Thanks, I am in Conway, Arkansas 20 minutes north of Little Rock. We usually have the Pelicans from October until the end of March. I've reported 3 banded Pelicans I got pictures of the last few years. They are coming from Chase lake Refuge, North Dakota and all were tagged in 2001 as chicks.

We have a 6,700 acre lake here and a large swamp that I go to with my kayak. Pretty much all of my pictures were taken within 15 minutes of here.

Likewise,. mine settled down quite a bit. I too was one of the complainers, and it was weird bad, but it's all settled down. The Li Ion break in period must be very real!

The battery that gives me the most shots from a charge is my oldest one. It's been reduced to 'one red square' for about 2 years now, and it gives me more shots than any newer battery, including the one that was split new last October with the 5D IV. I've got 'Old Red' (as I call it) in the 5D IV presently. Current reading is 1089 shots and standing at 33% charge.

I read about it and I think I notice on every new camera it is bad at first but after you recharge several times it improves. I could be way off on that.

I've seen instructions given with tablets, laptops, etc, that tell you, initially, to run them until the battery is nearly completely drained, then recharge, fully, then repeat twice, in order to 'condition' the battery. I've never seen similar instructions given with a camera.

So I went to the beach with my Mark IV and only EF lens to date, the 70-200 F/2.8L II. It was cold. It was fun!

All shot in Netanya, Israel.

More hungry deer in your area? This looks very similar to a previous post of yours.
