As someone who has never used 500px, but is highly considering it, what are the pros?

Easier to ask what are the Cons. 500px seems to be way more for actual photographers as opposed to Flickr. Some of the work on there is stunning.

I use both and have started using EyeEm as well. All are free.

I've never used it either, but from browsing, it looks to be somewhere you post only photos you want others to see as opposed to just dumping everything. It looks like a proper gallery compared to the scrapbook/dump Flickr is. Far more presentable too.

Makes sense. Maybe I'll just consolidate my best to 500px and go there. Flickr has some great photos, but there is a lot of garbage on it too.

I read the news recently, the management of Yahoo got shifted or something and their name got changed to Altaba soon... something like similar to AliBaba. I do not know under the new management could effect something to Flickr

I also just heard that Yahoo's name was being changed to Altaba. Too lazy to Google the details or legitimacy of this. Heck, the fact that everybody "Googles" to get their info gives some insight into the fate of Yahoo and Yahoo's Flickr.
