This photo reminded me of when I was a kid at local parades.

Hey guys, what picture style is your favourite? I have it on auto with -2 contrast but still not entirely happy, needs a lot of processing to look right.
What picture style do you all use for the majority of your photos?

I have been using manual mode since the film days. I have tried the different modes and find myself drifting back to manual:( It drives me nuts how the light meter will go all over the place, specially in odd-lighting situations. The biggest benefit I see with manual is that if I take several shots in one instance, the PP is minimal between the different shots.

Thanks for looking and commenting Chris. I was just playing and testing out the Sigma lens that I recently purchased. Shot it from my open window in my apartment. Was really grasping at straws (or just lacking imagination) on subjects. With the recent holidays, work and crazy schedule I have yet to get outdoors with it to do some birding. Maybe Saturday.

When I got my 6d which was basically after it was released, a lot of the talk here at the time was how the 5d2 was so much more "pro", whatever that means, and weather sealing was one of the points beaten to death and how the 6d was super lacking there. Probably mostly by people that don't get their gear wet.

I spent a little time this morning getting more than some saltwater dumped on me and every time I am in a situation like this I always remember when I was looking to "go FF" and the forum debates about the weather sealing. I am not recommending anyone be reckless by any stretch, but I think the 6D is a super capable camera and for sure one of my better buying decisions.

A few more from this morning, of the not drenched variety.....
