Have had this lens for around 8 years and am looking to upgrade camera to a EOS 6d. Is this lens compatible with 6d? Have had a hard time trying to get an answer. I read that it may fit onto camera but damage mirror because it is not compatible,

EF Lens means yes on any EOS Camera, Full Frame and ASP-C Camera. EF-S Lens only on a APS-C Camera............... ΜΟΛΩΝ ΛΑΒΕ

You can pull up MTF's for the two lenses and read (and re-read) until the proverbial cows come home. But there's nothing like spending some hands-on time and getting first-hand knowledge.
