From Saturday morning...all week, sunrise has been stunning, great clouds, awesome color, and all week I was in the car taking my daughter to school and then to work...I banked on Saturday morning being the same, and was not let down.

wow, thank you. Not the greatest location, but the color was insane...was glad I was there.

Its funny, the spot I really wanted to shoot from, when I got there, 100+ trucks and fishing boats were already there...my composition was full of boats trolling around in the water just offshore...and I was there at well before sunrise, I had time to drive 30 minutes back to where I ended up shooting...I hope that one day I can get up there and have no boats...

your edit looks purple to me now Gene. Have you calibrated your monitor? it's you're the only one that has a purple.

Never calibrated Vinz, but colors on my edits look true when I view using different devices such as my phone. Since a couple of other people commented they see purple as well, I'm encouraged that my colors aren't too far off. No comment on the cyan colored brick and concrete in your night shot , I'll assume that's due to reflected light from out of frame. :-)

I didnt have much clouds, but finding a scene that I liked was kind of tough in the city. The tree I found was embarrassingly lame, but I may post here anyhow.

You know, the issues you're talking about "too much yellow saturation and green tint" are exactly why I usually avoid the "Camera Standard" or "Camera Anything" profiles in Lightroom. They make yellows and greens go nuts IMHO. With portraits, I avoid those like the plague and either start with a Huelight profile, or more often none at all and just start with Adobe Standard.

Just catching up....been skiing all weekend....I have found that none of the profiles works well 100% of the time. Camera portrait seems to work most of the time with camera standard next when it's appropriate for the image to be a bit on the cooler side. It really depends on how it came out of the camera. I actually had a short series of shots the other day that "Camera Deep" looked best. Funny you find Adobe to work, I've not found on instance where it worked for me. Thanks for the input. Maybe I'll start checking them with no profile at all.

I've came to the conclusion eye AF is useless in low light. Shooting just now at f/2, 1/125, ISO 4000 and it just doesn't work. I've noticed this on loads of occasions mainly when indoors. Very frustrating

I've not been totally sold on eye focus yet. Maybe I'm still figuring out the the quirks. Low light is definitely out. Pre-focusing with standard AF is a good idea as someone pointed out. I've had a few times that it insisted on focusing on the non-dominant eye in the shot, i.e. the one further from the camera. That was a bit frustrating.

on the brick shot, it's not my monitor. it's my whitebalance that's off, here's a quick LR WB Eye dropper tool.
