I thought it was an artificial flower, but it's not a version of a plant so, I'm kinda lost, a bottle of nice scotch gets me back in good graces. Is it a ribbon bow? -?

And here I rushed around to take a macro of something before Dave lost patience!

I was going for floral ribbon (also suitable for wrapped gifts in general) or regular ribbon (also suitable for bouquets) but not necessarily tied in a bow.

I give up on this one. I thought it was that stuff you used in flower arranging (and flowers certainly get you out of the dog house). But every material I have ever seen would be described as sponge or foam.

Edit .. three posts at the same time. Of course!!

With a stitched edge, it couldn't be that foamy stuff. It had to be something like cloth.

Where's Dave?

If that's it you are more than welcome to host next. Cause I'm gonna have to shoot something

Looks like small mammals this time of year. Check with your local dnr.

I'm back. I was driving between the airport and hotel. The winner is ... DogDaze!

There's a red box in the frame that shows where I pulled this from.

Mostly using 5D3 with lots of different lenses and flash, but also still using a large format 4x5 film camera.

It wasn't clear to me whether the blue stuff was to be identified as an object or a material. We had a macro of a bow recently, and I didn't expect one so soon.

DogDaze, I have a picture. Posting now and breaking for dinner immediately.

Is the subject made from raised ink on paper?

Is the lighter coloured background frosted (or similar) glass?
