Amazing photograph.

Since the 5D iv is apparently such a useless crippled camera and more-or-less incapable of taking a decent shot, it really is an astonishing tribute to your photographic talent. ;-)a

David.
Comment and (constructive) criticism always welcome.

So since i have had this camera i have had this focusing issue. I will pick a focus point manually and then whilst im framing the subject the focus point will move. It has been driving me crazy fro weeks. Finally dawned on me today what it was. It was my big nose touching the screen and changing the focus point. Pretty embarrassing but worth sharing.

LOL...yep, in my short time with the 5DIV that happened to me too...it was odd and took a while for it to occur to me...glad you got it figured out.

What?? How does that happen? Is live view open at the same time you put your face to the viewfinder?

now crop it better and you have a good shot... make it an 8x10 vertical crop, cutting out everything outside the runner and the guy in black chasing him.

I think it's a bit hotter than that in Sydney (away from the coast) today going by some Facebook comments I've seen. Still, 39-40 C is very uncomfortable

Gotta be better than this. From a few years ago but we are catching up to the snow accumulation with 3 blizzards in the last month. We hit -48 Celsius with the windchill last week. We finally got a break with the deep freeze so I'm going to try and get out and do some shooting.

But I did get some shots yesterday at the cottage. Grosbeaks prefer cooer weather and come down from the north in the winter. I have to get some BIF in so I go looking the next few days. These guys are pretty fast so not the best to test on.

These are all 50% or more crops. Backlit and no flash.

Nah, gotta disagree there. I'm sure in your cold climate, everyone has a heater to keep warm but out here in Oz, not everyone has air conditioning to keep cool & you can't dress for 40 celsius & be cool but you can dress for the cold & be warm. Also, when drinking beer, it warms up too much when it's 40 celsius

This is true. If you can't escape that type of heat somewhere it is no fun.
