I contend, if you have a good copy, it can do OK for you. Image hosted by forum (834155) © advaitin [SHARE LINK] THIS IS A LOW QUALITY PREVIEW. Please log in to see the good quality stuff. I contend, if you have a good copy, it can do OK for you. Here's an SOOC with a link to a comparison between a Sony a7RII with MC11 adapter and a Canon 7D to the 400mm DO with 2X TC III. https://flic.kr/s/aHskLNR5r6 Hosted photo: posted by advaitin in ./showthread.php?p=18240290&i=i240161165 forum: Lens Sample Photo Archive Thanks for the share! The original DO definitely holds its own; the photos are even more crispy if you view them on Flickr vs. here.

Both have been edited slightly for contrast on the Flickr site. Canons to the left, Canons to the right,

Now I have the new DO. So far not particularly impressed. Images still need post processing. Image Stabilization seems pretty good I hope I don't end of regretting the impulse. Both of these are full frame.
