This is Franklin Falls, just outside of Seattle; we went for a hike out there, Christmas morning. Rather pleasant way to spend the morning!

What, no swim? :)

Still waiting for the wisdom they promised would be worth getting old for.

One guy did take off his shirt to stand under it...

Love them all but second is my favorite, having the man at the base really shows the size of the falls. it's impressive.
Must have been a great hike.

Thanks; yeah, it was nice for a shot...but the crowd out there made ti difficult to get other shots. Definitely a nice, if slippery, hike.

Nice! :-D Such a nice little hike, and it's so impressive during the winter!

Funny enough, I was actually at Franklin Falls this morning... After the cold spell we've been having this week, its way more frozen over now!

Thanks :) Hopefully the crowds are notably lower during the week...

Haha unfortunately not... There were a decent amount of people there around 10am, but when we were turning around to leave, it was absolute insanity. Trail wise, and road to get in/out!

Lovely! I like #1 better, Eric! The slower shutter speed makes the water look nicer.

If I don't get the shots I want with the gear I have, the only optics I need to examine is the mirror on the bathroom wall. The root cause will be there.

Did you have to fight with people coming down the road past where everyone was parked and having to back up because it's only one lane, with no where to go?
