My bad, I know it was confusing the way I described it. There is no magic trick here
I meant to say that from the various shooting modes e.g. single, continuous, timer, etc. (thumb wheel left click and they appear on LCD), I use the 5 second timer/delay mode with 5 continuous shots. So it waits 5 seconds then shoots 5 quick frames. The pictures are taken at your settings (normally I shoot M mode, manual focus, 1/160s, f/11 or 13, and ISO somewhere between 200 and 400.) There are a couple of other modes, with 2 sec delay, 10 sec delay etc.
I do this to have a bunch of pictures to choose from since sharpness goes in and out even with perfect focus due to currents and turbulence in the atmosphere
