Im pretty sure i came to the above episode one fstoppers tutorial video thru a post someone made here

Anyway who evr it was .. thanks!!
Learned some in just that one freebie they put out..now i admit my light room and Ps skills are very basic

But im tempted to pay the 299 thyere asking for the complete series.. as likei said i learned enough to impress me from just that one video

By any chance anyone here make thatpurchase ?... thoughts?

It's a great series...if you get it, get the second one "Cityscapes". It's supposed to be more advanced, but it's very easy to follow and seems more in tune with your urban setting than the first one that's mainly landscapes. "Cityscapes" also covers astrophotography, which is great. I purchased it last year and very happy about it. I've watched it multiple times and need to watch it all over again. :) The production quality is first rate, so it's a pleasure to watch.

BTW, your shot is amazing. I really like how the yellow hue of the street lights match the golden warmth of the sunset. It's a beautiful image.

Cool. Fog is so fun for street, city, and landscape photography, isn't it? :)

Thanks David. Yep it sure is! I was so excited I didn't know what to shoot. I didn't even use my Batis 18 because I couldn't stop shooting with the 85.

Another building in fog. I had to shoot at a steep angle so correcting the verticals was not possible without severe cropping. Still works I think.

Well, if you ever get the chance, you could always check out the family cemetery of my 3rd great grandfather. There is also a Texas Historical Marker for him nearby. Here's a Google map showing where the monument and cemetery is.

I think I'm a videographer now. Video with a gimbal is fun stuff and it really is an extension of photography.

I used the old weighted gimbals in the past, can really make awesome footage, however, compelling video is really tough to make. Either you have unforgettable moment or really good at story telling... It really is an extension of photography. Much respect for the talented video folks.

What software are you using to edit your videos? I've had Vegas Pro since version 6 and am now up to version 14. I've also used Photoshop CC and like it since I'm already familiar with adjustment layers, text layers and blending modes. I've tried to get used to Adobe Premier in the past but always thought it cumbersome.

I hope there's sony vegas for mac because i love it when i was still on pc.

I can't afford premiere and after effects otherwise I would love to have them.

The cheapest for me that works like a pro is finalcut pro.

Right now i'm only using iMovie or photoshop.

that is quite disorienting...having never been to LA...I had no idea that there was that much elevation to the east? or North?

There is elevation both east and north. LA sits in a basin. The mountains around are fairly high.

Sony A7RII and a bunch of lenses.
