I need to recover a few images from a gig last weekend.
I deleted the files from my computer.
I also reformatted the two SD cards from the D750, using my camera. I have since done another gig since then.

I used lexar image rescue 5 today on card #1. it pulls up some images from a few completely random gigs several months ago, and a few gigs in the past week or so, but not the one I want. I never experienced this before, is that normal? the gigs it's selecting is really bizarre, individual gigs on days when I did 3-4 gigs. really odd.

I used the same software on card #2. Both cards get ALL files when I shoot. this card pulled up completely different gigs. not the one I want.

Is it worth trying sandisk recovery software?

Is this random business b/c I have deleted images on my camera, which I assume messes up the FAT?

Any ideas?
Desperate here.
Thx

from what I've seen it's very random what can be recovered Vs. how old the files are, seems that any new files can be written in any area so it's pretty much a lottery if you've since added shots to a card you want to retrieve data from. Might be worth trying different software but I suspect you'll have similar results...

some fairly old canon camera stuff, canon lenses, Manfrotto "thingy", and an M5, also an M6 that has had a 720nm filter bolted onto the sensor:

I can't guarantee it'd work but I've used "WinRecovery" before, wasn't for myself - however I did manage to recover the files and folders that the person had deleted weeks before.

Hope this helps.
