I sent an email, they replied quickly and they do have it for the price mentioned and new. Thanks for the tip.

You're welcome..

For me personally if new price is slightly(10-15%) more than refurbished I would go with new. Some on the forum are all about the refurbished.

I can live with that as well. Also although the other sites are $70 less, I can live with paying $70 and know it is legit.

For my purchase since I was going with the 18-135 Kit. New was actually cheaper than refurbished.

No, we are about the savings. If I can save over $100 buying a refurbished unit from Canon, I will do so. If the program is used properly, there is zero advantage of buying new over refurbished. If I can save over refurbished by buying a discounted deal on new items, I would do that.

You have a no questions asked return policy on refurbished items, and a VERY high percentage of items come to your door with no usage, that is from personal experience and years of watching others input on this program from Canon. Of course this is only offered to US residents (for now).

Another site to watch is CanonPriceWatch as mentioned before, they will vet out the best deals from the legitimate dealers, including Canon's site itself.
