Been busy this year... this is my last trip with a crop sensor camera. Now the proud owner of a Canon EOS 5D Mark III and the 16-35mm f2.8 L.

In ten days my team and I shot photos on 11 trips in 10 caves. We hiked 30mi and spent over 48hrs underground. We produced 100 compositions all visible on my Flickr account. These are my favorite four.

Self portrait at Deep Cave. This cave has been a personal goal of mine for several years. It has a 400ft entrance pit accessible only via rope. Its also nearly 5hrs one way from the visitor center via car and finally a five mile hike. Touching down at the bottom was a very emotional moment for me.

Hope Brooks in the Soda Straw Forest, Guadalupe Room, Carlsbad Cavern. By far the most ungodly beautiful place I have ever seen.

Enjoy!
