Had to put some effort in on this one, I knew in my minds eye what I wanted to achieve, up in the dark, yomped up and down the beach in the rain for 30m till I found the best groyne, the patch of seaweed cementing this one for me, then stood there for an hour in the rain waiting for some cars to leave ( I did ask them to move a tiny amount, they refused ) and for the light to improve slightly before I mounted the grad filter, and then PP looked at every little detail and tweaked every little thing, nothing major just fine tuning, and happy to say, this is exactly the image I set out to achieve, so worth the effort...

Can I be a pest? First, love this kind of vintage look!! Love both shots! Is there a simple way of editing to get this? I dont have PS or LR, just the Canon program :(

I used to think I was indecisive, but now I'm not too sure.

This clock tower dates back to the 1900s and is pretty much all that now remains of the bustling dockland area of Middlesbrough back in the late 19th to early 20th century
It now stands close to the modern development of Middlesbrough Sixth Form College

A small quirk of this clock tower is that there is only a clock face on three sides, local legend claims that this is due to nearby shipyard and dockland bosses not wanting the workers to spend their time 'clock watching'
