Rose:
As I said previously, I was thinking of rose in the sense of the past tense of a sunrise. So I went out looking for a pretty sunrise one morning and found one. I was using a 1986 point and shoot Canon film camera that actually has a multiple exposure feature, so I decided to give that a try by turning the camera upside down and taking a second exposure on the same frame of film. I was pretty thrilled with the result. I took a couple single exposures and liked those too, but this one really stood out to me and is my favorite photo of the month.

Rose:
South of the Border has an small amusement park that is no longer in service, but it's pretty easy to walk around/under/through the fence and stroll around there. While doing so I spotted this guy peeking out from under the tarp that was covering the carousel, and was drawn to the roses.

Awesome photo -- an upside down double exposure. That's thinking outside the box for sure.

Nicely done, MichiTimm!

Fun looking topics for the February hunt, OldCrow.

Here's a bonus Fiesta shot from dinner last night. DW spotted this when she was cooking, saying that this the colors made her think of a fiesta ;-)a

I had tried to get a decent picture of a cotton boll, but MichiTimm's was just so much better, I guess I'll stay with the cotton field. Believe it or not, I couldn't come up with anything I liked for Fiesta

You really can't find any fresher orange than this.

Here's two I shot for January with my cell phone while on Dr's restrictions. Certainly not the quality of others in here, but at least I got to play.

Abstract:
I've been playing around with double exposures on film lately, so this seemed like a natural way to do an abstract. Took a photo of a bridge, then turned the camera upside down and took another while being careful to keep the same place in the center of the frame for each shot so they'd meet in the middle. I call it "Bridge Over Doubled Waters", because I'm cool and not at all a nerd. :D
