I'm pretty sure that is not an RN Merlin, for two reasons. Firstly the RN versions have the sea search radar under the nose, and secondly after I noticed the lack of radome, and looked closer, it also says Royal Air Force on the side.:-)

Alan

Been a while since I have been on here. It is a RN Merlin.

Taken not long after all RAF Merlins were transferred to the RN. Hence still in RAF markings.

^^
Thanks!

I was pretty happy, considering it was handheld on a moving object at 1/25. Sun was just right as well. If he would have hovered for me, that would have made things much easier. :-)

Yes but what has an Osprey got, Rotors or Propellers? To me they look far more like propellers than they do rotors. I guess I'll have to get me down to Suffolk and photograph some, are they at Mildenhall or Lakenheath? I can't remember.

Alan

Mildenhall for the Ospreys. Lakenheath for the Pavehawks.

Managed to get out for the day on Wednesday, it was cold wet and poor light. Tried to edit in the Polish style:
