Jealous; I've only ever seen one of these in the wild, once; and never had opportunity to photograph them. Nicely captured

Nice! I've never seen one in the wild. If I had one criticism (unsolicited, so feel free to ignore :)), the first photo is over-sharpened. The halos around the bird are really distracting and it makes the eye socket look unnatural.

If I don't get the shots I want with the gear I have, the only optics I need to examine is the mirror on the bathroom wall. The root cause will be there.

Good point, that shot is a cropped image. I need to be more careful when sharpening on crops. Good that i keep the original edited. I have no issues with getting tips from people on how to improve. Good eye man.

Use the brush to sharpen, so that you can stay away from the edges.
