Hawaiian goose portrait, Once a very rare bird on the verge of extinction, but a captive breeding programme led by the late Sir Peter Scott at Slimbridge brought it back from the brink.
Captured at WWT Arundel.

That's because I don't own one :p . The owls come pretty close as where they fly there are quite a few dog walkers so I guess they are used to people. I do try to get in some cover though and be quiet as they hunt by hearing. It's funny when someone posts they have seen one on a bird spotting forum, you get dozens of visitors all talking and very few owls, after a few days of blanks me and a few mates have the meadows to ourselves again. I do have my camera on silent shooting which helps, this was taken at 221mm with only a bit of a crop.
