Since the original extender is discontinued, I had a CAD file created from scratch so that it can be 3D printed. This goes between the OEM eyecup and camera viewfinder. This essentially pushes the eyecup away from the camera and your face isn't near the LCD screen.

More images can be found at http://www.1kindphotography.com …ce-extender-7d-5d-1d.html (external link)

Price is $26 including shipping and PayPal fees. A few members have already purchased it.

The eyepiece extender fits the following Canon EOS cameras that uses Eg eyecups:
  • 7D
  • 7D Mark II
  • 5D Mark III
  • 5D Mark IV
  • 5DS
  • 5DS R
  • 1D C
  • 1D Mark III
  • 1D Mark IV
  • 1D X
  • 1D X Mark II
  • 1Ds Mark III

Canon :: 5D Mark IV | EOS M5
Glass/Gear :: Canon 24-70L II | Canon 50mm f/1.8 STM | EF-M 22mm | EF-M 11-22
