Oh yea tons of money haha and saving ourselves from drowning in useless accessories. Ended up getting a T6i with a 18-135mm f/3.5-5.6 IS STM from Canon Refrub with free battery grip and extra battery. Pretty happy with the purchase.

Went refurb, the wife said I was being ridiculous worrying about refurb from Canon haha. Also picked up a 50mm f1.8 and a mic for her to use for her videos.

Well I didn't know Canon was gonna release the 77D and the T7i! I hope I'm not gonna spend my time feeling like I cheated myself out of a better kit. Any thoughts to this?

Bald honesty: most people don't use their camera to its full potential - you don't know what you don't know yet. Learn what you have, and when you can't do something your really want to do, that is when your research and decide to upgrade from what you have.

Chasing gear doesn't make a better photographer.

Godox/Flashpoint r2 system, plus some canon stuff.

Fair enough. It's the noob inside of me haha. Thanks for your view.

I'm including myself, btw.. I outgrew my 50D, but that took 7-8years.. pretty sure I'm not going to be able to find things my two current cameras can't do that I need.. I may be stuck with them till one of us kicks the bucket. :)

Well I am going to do my best! We just got our order tonight and I instantly went out to take pics. Of course I think they look good (especially as a beginner). I can't wait to get out and practice more! I feel I'll be taking this camera everywhere with me!

Well my Mac broke so I can't edit what we snapped yesterday. I know critiques are a huge thing around here, but I'm thinking about using this thread to track my progress. Sorry if this annoys anyone.

Edit: can't post pics via phone, so here is a link to my Flickr album.
