Pondering if swapping my 70-200 f4 for this magnificent lens

I know this is an older post, but for what it's worth, I sold my 70-200 f4 IS for the 135L. No regrets at all. I primarily used my 70-200 for motorsports work and then transitioned more to portrait/wedding/event work. I wasn't using the 70-200 as much, was mostly using my 85 for the faster aperture and bokeh. I took a chance on the 135L and I use it all the time whereas my 70-200 would have been collecting dust. I like the size and weight of the 135 more and also prefer the black lens to the white - the white gets you unwanted attention when you are trying to get candids at events. The 135 takes up less space in the bag, so I take it with me more often and can pack it in my sling bag instead of bringing the whole backpack. It's my most used lens and creates photos that people are more drawn to. I do miss the IS, but I think it's worth it for what you gain.

EOS M and M5 - 11-22 f4-5.6 IS, 22 f2
AE-1 Program - FD 50 f1.8

Got a last minute call to do this late afternoon shoot. All natural light but almost overpowering backlight.

Good colour control - tough subject and lighting combination.

Cheers, Damien

Thanks Damien, good eye. It was a bit of a challenge to lift her face out of the shadows.

Thanks! The camera was in the shop 3 times since I bought it last September so I am tickled to finally get a chance to put it through some tests.
