I have tap and wouldnt hesitate to get E-mount.

DOF is so huge with the 12, hard to miss focus, but if you have E mount, Exif is transferred, and IBIS doesnt need to be fiddled with; also, no need to worry about centering of adapter/TAP. On the flip side, you can do really close focus with the TAP without needing extension tubes.

E-mount hands down.

Yeah, autofocus is really not a requirement with this type of lens unless I'm shooting really close, I'm leaning towards the M-mount primarily because I'm considering potentially adding a Leica body somewhere down the road, cross-platform functionality would be useful.

QUOTED IMAGE

The losses are coming from a business unit that has nothing to do with camera sales....But yes the effects of this will reverberate throughout the entire company. They'll start squeezing their margins everywhere else to offset that massive write-down.

I got mine through Amazon for $174.00. I haven't had the chance to use it much due to the weather but I think it will help me since I have pretty shaky hands. I also have on order a handlebar type bracket where I should be able to mount the remote control to the grip handle. I'll show how that looks when it arrives.

so, for you SR app users...why does it crop the final image in RAW...but the JPEG version is all there and not cropped...I noticed it does also tend to alter the WB a bit, easily corrected...

I shot 39 SR app images on this trip to Chicago...I really enjoyed using the app, it was cool to shoot a scene without a single filter and achieve an LE image.

Weird. That's news to me. I always delete the jpegs without even looking at them and wish the app didn't even make them.

^ I didn't know the app kept the jpegs. Interesting.

Gene and anyone else that's interested, I finished the first small batch of images from the James Hodges Sr historical marker and cemetery. Gene, after I'm done editing them all, I will post the edited versions and originals in my dropbox.

Same here. Deleting the JPEG is the first thing I do. Don't know why the raw would be cropped unless a lens profile had been baked in

I was downloading all files to my Surface, so I wasn't really deleting anything while on the road. I knew it made a JPEG, and while scrolling through I noticed that the images were just slightly different between the RAW and JPEG. I wish it didn't make them...just leave them out...that said, its not hard to delete them and I really enjoyed learning to use the app...

Thanks Alfredo, these look awesome! I hope you include the video from the road you mentioned to Dropbox too. I'd like to put together a small tribute to him using your video and images. I'll give you full credit of course.

First edit from the trip...last image I shot on the first morning. It was so dang cold...I made so many mistakes, most of the images were no good...but this one turned out ok. The ice was gone by the weekend, so I was glad I got it when I did. I found I used the B25 a lot on this trip, it just seemed to be the right lens.
