Digital Speed Challenge #451 ~ Mouthwatering

This week lets post some tasty tidbits of your favorite food, snacks, or gourmet whatever. Make our mouths water.

The challenge begins when posted, and will end on Wednesday, Feb 15, 2017 at midnight EST. The winner will be announced shortly thereafter. (Or more likely, the next morning.)

CHALLENGE RULES:
1. Camera: Any DIGITAL CAMERA is allowed, (not just DSLR)

2. Time: Any on-topic photo taken at any time is eligible, although photos that have won other competitions should NOT be entered.

3. Size: See standard P.O.T.N. Image Posting Rules.

4. Post Processing: Do whatever you like and the host will decide if it works.

5. Posting: ONE PHOTO per photographer in each challenge.

6. Details: Show camera model & lens used. Post brief EXIF data including ISO, shutter speed and aperture used.

Thank you all for your mouthwatering photos and several did make my mouth water. Then again, I'm pretty much on a "see food diet," I see it and then I eat it.

This was a hard one to judge so please forgive any subjective bias I may have inadvertently introduced into my selections.

Honorable mentions go to:

Benitoite -- not sure how you pronounce Hu Tieu but the soup looks scrumptious. Great color, nice detail and I like your focus point on the center of the bowl. When is lunch being served?

My choice for dessert would be monty28428's M&M photo, one of my favorite comfort foods.

Very nice photos Alveric and JP. I think had they been centered they would have made for a stronger composition.

Great detail and nice lighting in your single malt shot Paul. However I found the document protector and the person in jeans in the background to be a bit distracting.

It's a fairly phonetic language plus melodic tone marks. So "hủ" with a melodic dip like asking a question, then "tiếu" with a rising tone. It is a traditional pork bone soup with egg and rice noodles, vegetables and mint, garnished with a tiny quail egg and red hot chilis. We make ours at home with pork neck and add daikon.
