Paranormal Pier...

I swear that's the Pacific Ocean!!! Hehehehe... Underneath Huntington Beach Pier in SoCal... Long exposure scenery during the morning's high tide... 1DX + 24LII + Stacked Lee Filters (Big Stopper, 0.9 ND, and 105mm CPL)... Almost 15-stops combined!!! ISO 100, f/13 @ 4 minutes and 30 seconds exposure... Pardon the subtle focus-shift with the pier's edges... The tripod was being slammed by incoming waves...

;)

I know I won't be the last to say it, but this is a fantastic composition! Very nice work!!

I hate it when that happens...for me it means a re-shoot, that shift in the structure kills it for me...I had one like that of a tree in the surf, the tide was coming in faster than I planned, and at the very end of my 4 minute exposure the tripod shifted about 1/2"...ghosted the tree...trashed the shot, reshot it from a more suitable distance.

Hard to notice the foxus shift on my phone, but that's a beautiful shot!

Not really, I only saw that thing maybe 5-7 times in my entire life. The city is crowded and parking sucks so I usually go in the other direction.

I hope you enjoyed your stay in Chicago!

I can imagine that people that live there avoid downtown...as a visitor, we had no vehicle, so we walked everywhere, close to 35 miles during the trip. It was my second time to Chicago, and I really enjoyed myself.

I lived in the NW suburbs. The best way to enjoy Chicago was to take the train to Union Station. Yeah it's crowded downtown but I never had to worry about parking or traffic. And it only cost $5 each way to go to Elgin.

Shampoo sounds like an unfortunate name for a hair product.
You're a ghost driving a meat-coated skeleton made from stardust, riding a rock, hurtling through space. Fear Nothing!
