Thanks ,, yeah i might give that setting a try..

there is certainly a bigger learning curve to these sony cameras then there was with my Panasonic or Canon cameras ..learned that already with the a7sii.. although the a6500 seems even trickier having less dials and custom buttons .. it does confuse me as i've gotten very used to the placement of buttons on my a7sii, so instinctivly look for them on the a6500 even if only for a split second .. i know that'll go away as muscle memory kicks in..
yeah the touch screen is alright.. it helps , not the best ever ,, there is a slight lag.. but its totally usable, i have to say its faster than all the tapping i have to do with the a7sii

I'll help keep this thread on life support ;-)a

I'll say it again....the a6500 is a legit action camera. These kids were doing back flips coming toward the camera. When I was able to actually keep the selected focus area on them the a6500 nailed it with very few being OOF. These were taken with the Zony 24mm which is a bit slower tp focus than the E50 1.8. Little hot on the exposures here but that was my fault.

Sold the a6000 last night and ordered the a6500 this morning.:-)

I normally shoot RAW with the a6000 but I have LR5 that handled the files just fine. Now with the a6500 coming, what are you guys using to process the RAW files if you are shooting that way?

I have the latest version of light room… LR6? Works great.

Got the a6500 yesterday and took it with me to the District Tournament to grab a few shots. Here is one from that game.

^^Very nice shot^^ Great exposure and pretty darn clean at 6400! Yay.....Another contributor! Keep posting pleeeezzzz!

Had a little fun with a couple flashes the other night. Took a series of shots of my daughters Valentines box. It was a "Idaho" themed box. I thought it was pretty cool!

Speaking of flashes....if anyone is looking for a great little affordable flash packed with power and lots of functions look no further than the Godox TT350s. $84 well spent!

You have a lot of real nice sports action shots on your Flick. What AF setting were you using for B-Ball?

Thanks! With the a6000, I always used AF-C with flexible spot - M. This shot above with the a65000, I used the Lock on AF and AF-C. I was just trying different settings to see what I liked the best.

Went walking around yesterday downtown to play with the a6500. Nothing special but here are some I liked. I'm using Capture One express right now until I decide which editor I want to go with. I really like LR but I don't want to go to their subscription service.

That's exactly why I don't like the subscription service, they have you. The Capture One express isn't bad and the Pro level for Sony is only $50. I have also tried Adobe's DNG convertor and then importing it into LR5. It works also, just a little longer process. I'm going to keep working with Capture One. I've watched a lot of YouTube videos and once you see some of the basic stuff, it's a lot like LR. I'll keep you guys updated on what I like and don't like.
