Another shot with the new EF-M 18-150. I used this lens for two weeks around India on an original EOS M and I'm very pleased with the focal range it covers and the quality of the images I have back.
Still no profile from Adobe alas, and DXO Optic Pro have delayed their profiule for this lens by another 2months -? I have found that at 18mm, the profile for the old EF-M 18-55 is about right if dialed back a bit.

How do you like the lens at 150mm? I'm thinking of picking this up to get the extra range if the quality justifies the purchase.

Thanks.

Gart

It's good across the range Gart, although not a constant aperture. There's an image earlier at 150mm. I will find some others to post from my India trip using this lens in due course, incl. at 150mm

I didn't look hard enough to find the one at 150mm. It looks good for what I would be using the lens for (travel).

Appreciate the response.

No problem. Here's another couple @ 150mm, first wide open f/6.3, second @ f/8. It's not perfect, but no worse than any other super-zoom, and a bit of extra fine sharpening cleans it up nicely IMHO. For travel it's ideal, but I wouldn't use it for commercial shots. I had more problems due to atmospheric conditions than lens performance issues in India - haze, heat shimmer, and pollution in the cities softening images of things far away.

And here is one at 150mm f/8.0 where I wasn't suffering from atmospheric issues.

Yet more with the EF-M 18-150 on an M mk1. Slowing going through about 4000 pictures taken using it in India on a recent trip, and liking what I'm seeing in image quality.

Anyone else do paid work with the M? I had two properties to shoot on Sunday and used this with the 10-18 and it was great. The grid and live view made it really easy to see what I was doing in a tight space. I shot a lot (and amenities in the neighborhood) and then a midsized home (not done with those yet).

everyday! it's cheaper to use the M with the 22mm than to buy a 35mm lens for my A7.
