I decided to shoot in jpeg with my X100T this week. Something I have noticed is that when I shoot in jpeg and import the files into light room, I can clearly see lens distortion and vignetting. I thought this was something that was corrected in camera. It really becomes apparent when I shoot jpeg+raw and import the files into Lightroom. Once I apply the lens profile to the raw file, the distortion goes away. Has anyone else experienced this? I'll provide a link to demonstrate what I am talking about.

I met Debra while walking through my neighborhood this morning. She grew up in Bronzeville and was full of stories about the neighborhood. She even showed me one of the buildings Lou Rawls lived in as a child. She told me if she could have one wish, it would be to go back to Bronzeville in the 70s.

My first photo share at this forum. A couple of photos captured yesterday at home. Question: is there a tool to automatically include a photo's EXIF data or is everyone typing that in by hand? TIA. EDIT: question answered as the post finished!

Y'all inspired me with some of thosee recent close-up, detail shots. So with this set, I tried to focus on single close-up subjects.... something I've not really done before. These shots are from my camping trip this weekend. Heavily processed in Nik Analog Efex... I think the processing fits the mood, but comments always welcome. Hope you like 'em.

Glimmerman, first axe shot is cool. Is that NIK analog EFX? NIK plug ins are my favorite freaking things ever, to the point I over use them, but they are just so much fun to process with.

Everything is relative.
Gear: 6D, Unholy Trinity:twisted: (24Lii, sigma 50A, 135L), and for the other ends of the spectrum, sigmaEX 14mm2.8 and sigmaEX 100-300F4.

Heck yeah! NIK Analog Efex is amazing. These are all the same homebrew preset, except I modified the dirt & scratches to vary the processing.

I love the NIK suite! Unfortunately it doesn't work right with 4K monitors though :( I've gotten lazy and do most of my casual editing from my couch on my TV and for some reason the NIK software all looks like garbage when running on the 4K screen, LR and PS look fine though... I wish they'd update it.

Try turning the brightness on the LCD down a setting or two.

I did try that and it didnt really make too much difference. However, i think i have fixed it now.

For the X100T what tripod is everyone using?
