Overcast skies and incessant rain here – so just casting around for subjects to photograph.

Fruit thrown into water makes for some interesting(?) compositions. Keeps me amused anyway.

awsome shots, i am very surprised they are so sharp being only 160/s i would have thought u would need at least 500/s to get sharp like that, cool shots

Haha...that's funny because my wife said the same thing earlier when I was editing the image. After a long career of doing a lot of architectural visualization (3d renderings), I guess it's colored my view of processing architecture photos. Thanks for the very kind words.

Thank you Alfredo! I just put the camera straight on the pavement - love that flip screen. The electronic level got me really close to straight - I let DXO Viewpoint 3 auto-correct it.

My guess is flash was used. Could go even slower than 1/160th really.

Was this an SR shot? It has a little bit of an LE feel in the clouds, whispy moving clouds. The whites of the building have gone a touch blue and there is a a bit a variation in the panels as a result, but I love the perspective, I love that building, always have.

Having done a lot of 3D renderings, I find that I try to clean up architectural images too much, sterilize them, or add light in places where I would if I had been rendering them...its weird how that translates.

so how much focal length would you lose with the ring? Great looking lens, hoping to compare to the 70-300, as I think it's a pretty darn sharp lens, just doesnt have the zeissness of the makro planar I owned in the past.

I bought the leitax and the tripod collar shims along with a 70-200 tripod collar. The leitax came with 3 long screws instead of 4 but they were quick to respond and are sending one out. It's rock solid even with a screw missing. Hopefully be able to test it out tomorrow

Just a purely aesthetic comment, but that lens is about as cool as there is. Love the look of it. I've got to get one too.

It is a really nice lens. I like the look of all the Contax Zeiss lenses. The Leitax is also a very nice piece of kit, feels like a quality product in the hand and the fit is perfect.

No one mentioned the new 11mm full frame Irix lens?

Two versions, metal for 800ish and plastic for 500ish.

Manual with apperature control and exif transfer.

Almost no distortion.

how much did that cost you? are you going to use a dumb adapter? or are you going to try tap?
