My model needs some practice :-) There was a perfect perch and the FL Scrub Jay was obsessed with landing on the lens/ my hat...

you know the c-stand largest leg should always be on the load side and the grip arm / knuckle is on the wrong side for the load of the strobe.

Yes I did know about the largest leg needing to be forward/under the load (and I did let my "assistant" know lol) I should have paid more attention after we moved the light there
However I'm not aware of the second part of what you said, do you mind clarifying? I have never used a C-stand until I got those with the XPLOR, decided to give them a try but still learning them.
Also what I really need to do is use the extension head get the weight off of the boom!
