Shot with the new camera?

Im afraid to ha ha. I will probably pick one up next year. If I do I will probably sell the M-E. I do love the M-E so I might just find a way to keep it. I think the new camera will be a nice compliment to my 262 and MM.

I keep trying to thin out my camera cabinet. I sold a camera and bunch of lenses, including the 800mm L and bought a 400mm DO II. I use my Leica/Voigtlander lenses on Sony cameras as well as the M 240, but I have loved getting back to rangefinder shooting. I think I'll have to strongly consider getting the new M10 and working with both until I decide to keep one and sell the other. I need to thin the Sony herd, too.

Sure the 240 has its flaws and I've adjusted my way of shooting to accommodate lag, but I've been pleased with the results, especially some low light color. DNG turned out to be very flexible and useful, especially as I have been shooting more in monochrome.

These are the same image, shot in JPG as monochrome and the color version from the DNG. This is an old lens, but I wanted to see if it had any magic. I did have to do some editing. I found that a dehazing filter seemed to sharpen it up and increase the contrast. I suspect my wife will not like these shots as they show her age. But I love her and all the detail wide open of this lens. An odd thing is the M 240 stopped magnifying the image as I was focusing. It did magnify for a couple of shots, then stopped. I'm not sure why.

Now I'm having fun. It's a titch difficult to nail focus on stuff that is at some distance. I might have to try the lens on an IBIS camera to see its full potential. Overall not bad for a Vietnam era lens. 135mm f2.8 Leitz Canada Elmarit on Leica M (240) Shot in monochrome, Color from DNG.
