I live only about 40 miles away from the OP and could pick up this lens in person and save some money on the shipping charges. And by not buying the lens I could save a whole lot more. I don't see how I can't not afford to not buy it! :p

The lens is a fake. You can tell by the 2nd photo where the L is grey, but on the authentic models it is red. Buyer beware, don't buy this lens :p

The gray markings appear when the lens assumes its ultimate form, it's dxo rating is over 9000!

I went through this in my mind the other day, my emotional attachment to my Zeiss 50mm F2 Makro is so strong that I'd sell every lens and camera I own before selling that one lens...It's unexplainable.

Do yourself a favor and don't sell it to me :)
