Wonder if they will swap it for a better hat:twisted:

Sorry for my ignorance, my lens ID abilities are quite poor, so what lens is it?

Also the guy in the background, with the red coat, what lens is he using? and I notice it's a non Canon Tcon.

Al, we are talking about the lens in my photo above. It's a Canon 400mm f/2.8 Mark 1 on a 1DX camera. As for the guy in the red top, I don't know but Butch or Pat will know. The other guy in that photo is using a 300mm f/4 lens with a 1.4 extender.

Hi Alan...

That's me in the red coat and Pat is wearing the beanie... Pat's using a Canon 300 4L IS glass with a Canon 1.4x TC Mark II... I'm using my Canon 200 1.8L lens with a Kenko Pro DGX 2x TC... The TC worked great when stopped down... I now, however, use a Canon 2x TC Mark II...

:)

Sorry for the utter confusion there. Too many posts, with too many hats for me to get my head around  Maybe I should get a better hat :). Annie I hope Doris hasn't been too much trouble to you up in Scotland. It was pretty intense here for a bit. I was talking to the farmer that owns the fields around my bungalow, and he had lost three trees in his garden at home.

It got a bit noisy in the afternoon. I had to pop out to the local shop, and then to the village hall. I had to pass through a stand of trees at one point, and the noise of the wind in the trees, was much louder than the RAF C130 Hercules that came over on approach to Norwich Airport a couple of days before. My power wheelchair, and it weighs 170 Kg and I add another 120 kgs, almost got blown off sideways of the path leading up to Potter Heigham bridge! As I said the gentleman who owns the field beside and behind my bungalow lost some trees around his house. Fortunately for us no damage to the bungalow structure. It's a council property, but the repairs would still have been annoying had anything happened.

Apparently speaking to friends at the support group I go to in Norwich large parts of Norwich and North Norfolk were without power, some were still out this morning, we were fine though. We did get a power cut a few weeks ago, Anglian Water are putting the village on mains sewers, which is a bit of a pain, and one of their diggers cut a main power cable for the area, and blacked out us and two neighbouring villages too.

As I was raking pictures at a horse competition that my daughter was in, I happen to capture this photographer taking a picture. This is not my daughter, just a random jumper.
