would love to know what its like for b.i.f though and focus speed to .also compared to what . i.e i know my canon 80d is reasonable and gives good i.q but it doesnt focus anywhere near as fast as my old 10mp 1D3 .i would love a 1d4 but the u.k used prices are through the roof which i suppose says something.

also have you tried your rig in poor /low light which is only to common these days

canon 1Dmkiii, sigma150-600mm.os.sports ,canon 28-135mm.is, ,lots of other gear to

I can't really answer about bif as I mostly do aviation photography, but I will say that the AF is simply awesome. every bit as good as my Canon 5D4. It takes a bit of getting used to the EVF but I'm getting a lot better. I really do think that this is the future. The 445 phase detect AF points are awesome as it uses most of the frame, unlike a 1D or a 5D which only uses central AF points. Also, the a6500 has a very small EVF blackout when shooting but its no worse than an optical viewfinder.

Here's a video comparison compared to a 5D4..

I will say tho that low light, with a long lens, the AF does struggle on the a6500.. I don't have an issue with this because I don't shoot in low light with a long lens. I'm in australia so we don't have crap light over here heheh :)

I also have a 1D4 (which I bought for about 1000 pounds about 2 years ago) but the sensor is really starting to show it's age. Anything 3200+ iso is just a waste of time, whereas the sony a6500 is so much cleaner.

Do you think BIF is aquirable? How's the tracking and single point.

Oh, absolutely. Once its got a lock onto something it hangs on. You can switch between a 'wide' focus which has this uncanny ability to know what you're tracking or or you can back to a single point.

Love the high contrast. Have you a b/w with the same high clarity/contrast? What was the call... Safe!!!!?
