Jeff, you'll probably find some buried treasure in your search. He is a cutie and seemed to like playing for the camera (or you). In any event, I look forward to more of him in the coming weeks.

Love the above one, of course.

They are very cool Kim, Very animated. his guy is on a tree fallen at a 45 deg angle. he was digging tunnels through the snow and peeking out.. much fun to watch.

Yes I know, Thank's Guy's.. I seen this Marten and got a few shot at him, some friends thought we should go somewhere else so we headed back to the trucks. I watched them drive off... I shut my truck off and went back to the spot the Marten was and preceded to shoot this little guy for what seemed like hours but in reality was probably a short time. I got many really great images from that encounter. Since then I try and follow my gut. I should go back and revisit those images, i'm a way better prosesser today. and i'm sure I took thousands.

I have the 80D. Awesome camera, shares equal duty with my 5D4. Has more AF points at f/8 than just the single center, which is why I chose it over the 7D2. So far, in only a few instances, has the AF stumbled. The flip screen and wi-fi are also nice to have. On top of that, the improved sensor gives more latitude in post.

That's interesting. I have the 7D2 and it is agreat combo with this lens but with the TC does indeed give only a single center point that is fixed. Not ideal. Didn't know that about the 80D.

I would consider to get the 1.4 EX Mark III - it's a world of a difference. Much, much better than the version II.

Just my 2 cents.

Cheers.

Hi Raw, could I ask you to expound on that comment? I'm planning on obtaining a 1.4 and would love to know the difference before deciding. TIA

I had rented both 1.4 and took comparison shots with my 100-400. The Mark III was a clear winner.

Somewhere on the Canon web site is info that the Mark III was specifically designed for all Mark II lenses. So far Canon is spot on with that claim.

BTW, I got my extender as a refurb from Canon direct. No complaints.

Cheers.
