The colour version of last nights photo has now became the most liked image in my Flickr. It's funny how that happens as it's not my favourite image

Well deserved! I preferred the color version

Is that a single image or multiple, blended exposes Alfredo? Regardless, excellent final rendition.

Gene, it's four exposures blended together. Dynamic range was easily at least 6 stops apart. Thank you!

A rather nondescript image of a telephone box being slowly reclaimed by Nature. The only reason for posting it is that it was a quick test shot taken with a 500mm mirror lens (that's right, a mirror lens - so not to be taken seriously), handheld, and auto-focused with a Techart PRO adapter. Sky dark with impending rain, it was shot at 8000 ISO – and, given the unusual nature of the experiment, I thought it was worth showing the result.
The lens weighs 860g (1.9lb), including two dumb adapters ( Adaptall 2-MD: MD-LM) but the TAP has nailed focus, and I find that remarkable.
I doubt that I shall ever use the combination in any serious sense, but as I have a TAP, and a bunch of old glass, I'm trying stuff out. I really like the TAP!

Darker edit of one of my milky way shots. I prefer it this way.

A bit more work in Photoshop, whereas the original was just in Lightroom.

Nice one Travis

The clouds came back in tonight so no astro but took some night photos anyway. The smooth reflections app never fails to amaze me. I was shooting at f/5.6 ISO 1600 30 secs and decided for this one to use the app and shoot 16 frames. The resulting image is ridiculously clean! Its like ISO100 compared to the non SR app ISO 1600 shots

Thanks Charlie

Heres the colour version. This was taken in near pitch black so the colour you are seeing is light pollution

B&W or colour??

The black and white is amazing, i scroll a bit more and see this. I honestly cant say which one is better because both are freaking awesome. This needs to win a contest!

Sigma keeps coming out with some new lenses.. I'm rather impressed. If they're anything like the rest of their offerings, then there's really a lot to choose from. 135/1.8, 100-400 are particularly interesting to me.
But again, wishing I was still in the Canon world for stuff like this. Or Sigma needs to bring their lenses to E mount soon.

MC-11 will give you native AF with sigma lenses. I've got one...Thinking of pre-ordering the sigma 135 but want to see some sample images first. I don't typically like how sigma lenses render

On top of that, IBIS. Using the 135 in low light is how I typically use the lens , and without IBIS means 1/250 to rule out camera shake. While I could probably live with it , that would be a painful experience.

Here's a quick test for distance using my new Sony ECM-AW4 wireless Bluetooth mic and receiver. I also made my first "lower thirds" composite using the free Hitfilm 4 Express. I thought it turned out OK but like photoshop, the program does a lot and will take some time to begin to feel comfortable using it.

The video was shot using my Sony a6300 and FE 55 f1.8 lens. I had hoped it would keep me in focus as I crossed the street but the camera decided to change focus to the background instead.

we all like such different things...I love the rendering of the Sigma lenses, especially for portraits, not as much contrast, but that is just my taste...

Once I got the silly camera setup right for IBIS...it makes such a huge difference...I can't seem to get auto to work, I have to change it everytime I change lenses if I am shooting handheld...
