Very creative set, Benitoite! I particularly like the selective gray, lol.

Selective color - OK, I reckon I went cliche! I had high hopes for this, as the plan was to highlight the blue eyes of one of our barn cats. We call her Blue because of her eyes. But it just did not come out that great (her eyes are more striking in the color version, I think). I added the nose to the mix just for the heck of it.

Buttons - Something simple, yet sort of high-tech, the virtual buttons on the control panel in my Edge.

Abstract - I thought this fellow on the side of my growler was rather abstract.

"G" is for ... GREAT BEER! And this is right at the top of my list.

More than four....you guessed it, BEERS! Little ones as I got a sampler of beers at our local brewer. Good stuff!

I'm always on the hunt for a good brew or three, so it is just natural to work it into the monthly game ;-)a

OK, now that I have my photos posted I can take a serious look at everyone else’s entries! I had made a quick cruise through while I was posting mine, just to make sure I was not duplicating any of the ideas (that’s when I saw Don’s comment about selective color being overdone, but it is still fun to play with). And I think that there were some nice images, with a variety of applications. Of course MichiTimm took a different tack. I like what you were going for.

So, great images for the challenge thus far. Lots of variety and all are nice shots.

Here is the link to the article I was referring to: http://www.picturecorrect.com/tips/photography-cliches/ (external link)

Personally, cliche or not, I like the effect one can achieve with selective color or color isolation as referred to in the article.

"G" is for ... :
In this case I would say the "G" is for clarification. I think it's really easy to miss this "g", and without it I don't think the sign says what Wayne thinks it says ...
Taken with my Canon Elph Jr on Kodak Advantix 400 aps film.

More Than Four
Spent some time in a cemetery or two thinking about g is for graves, but found myself going a different direction.
Canon AL-1, FujiColor 100

IMAGE: https://c1.staticflickr.com/1/755/32308301134_edf947e658_b.jpg

Then this shot really got me thinking about trying for an all-in-one when I realized I had an abstract of more than four of the g-is-for-graves:
Also with the AL-1 and FujiColor 100
