Bare speedlite is a great tool when used properly. Well done.

Thanks. I happen to be a very lazy guy, so not carrying anything except a bare flash suits me just fine. :-D

Thanks so much! I definitely recommend recording sessions. I just put my 6D + Sigma Art 35 on my mephoto tripod and set up the frame wherever I'm shooting. I do have my gf assisting most of the time but she mans the c stand most of the time. I set up the camera settings, hit record, then shoot.

Spectacular! And thank you for the video.

Her skin looks so smooth. Was there any post processing to smooth her skin?

Scot,
One of the things I like about your lighting scheme is how you get the strobe fill to do its job without adding the disorienting shadow behind the subject. Letting the sun key shadow establish and ground the subject. Its one of the little details that a lot of photographers miss.

Overall, the images are outstanding. That detail is just a plus.

Thanks!Only removed blemishes. Check out the video again and look at her skin. It was flawless to begin with. Maybe I should have left the blemishes, lol. They were small as well. The soft light just made her glow.

Hey just FYI, it's usually better to QUOTE instead of REPLY since a quote, like this current one, displays the original post/question, while the Reply does not, which means we have to click on a link to see what you're responding to. :)

Thank you very much for the reply. I figured (and was hoping) that it was only the soft light that made her skin look so smooth. I think they are stunning photos, and I thank you for the video and photos.

Yeah, soft light made her skin look so surreal. Got another video out! =)
