Mar 01, 2017 19:55 | #30902 Yep I've been checking that out looks really really good. Godox is turning out some quality gear. There's an article I think on Fstoppers that compares this unit with larger speedlights and it holds its own. - Alfredo -

No one hassled me, fortunately, but I'll steer clear from now on. You should love your 12mm; it's fantastic. Ended up returning mine yesterday. Just being practical: 1. the Laowa is excellent too, 2. I already own it, 3. Would have to take heavy loss to sell it. Speaking of the Laowa, I was experimenting with the 100mm filter holder for it. Will share some experiences with it soon. David that sucks about your experience at the museum. Very frustrating to say the least I bet. I've only had a few issues shooting from parking garages. Security guards do keep an eye on me when I'm shooting inside hotels for example but they mostly leave me alone if I ask nicely to shoot at the start. Doesn't always work though. - Alfredo -

What I like especially about it so far are the colors (not quite up to par with Canon, but still better than Sony imho) and the physical interface (in particular the joystick). The menu system and UI are something I definitely need to get used to. But overall I seem to like the way the camera has been designed.

The menu system and UI are something I definitely need to get used to. But overall I seem to like the way the camera has been designed. I haven't had issues with AF. It's not incredibly speedy and snappy in low light. But then again, for AF speed has never been an issue with any of my recent cameras (A7rii, A6000, RX100III and 5D3). So far I haven't noticed any issues with AF accuracy. On thing that is absolutely horrible is the Fuji Camera Remote app. But of course, I haven't had the time to do proper testing yet. Yeah Fuji colours are great, I was planning on just shooting JPEG with t for the most part. The only reason I had an issue with af is because I was planning on using the camera for family stuff and my 3 year old barely stays still and the Fuji just couldn't keep up. For other uses I'm sure it would be great. The joystick was superb, smoother to operate than I remember my 5D3 being in that regard Leica M11 | Leica Q2 | Sony α7RV

I like brenizer method a lot. Though I typically don't use it the way Ryan Brenizer does - meaning making those dreamy-looking-bokeh-maximizing-wide-frame images. Instead I tend to use it more to mimic a medium format like look - to achieve more compression with still a wider frame. So I typically deal with 3 to 9 frames rather than any extensive amount, which makes the process of taking pictures relatively easy.
