Did you find yourself shooting more zoomed out on the 24mm wide end, or zoomed in at 70mm?

I am using the upper wheel for ISO settings. There are times when I turn the wheel and get wrong ISO because of the lag. Never experienced this on any other Canon body before?

Terrycanon Cream of the Crop More info | Mar 02, 2017 08:59 | #683 Fell off my bike the other day and broke a bone in my knee, so I'm immobile for a month or so. What can you photograph when you can't get out of the house? Here's a couple of BW efforts from my lounge. Taken with my 50mm f/1.8 lens, which I bought last year and have hardly ever used. It's an inexpensive lens and not a bad one for the money. Both taken with the lens wide open. The second pic is of a mural we have had for years. Thought I'd explain that as it looks rather weird! I'll now be looking for more subjects. Any ideas? Image hosted by forum (842854) © Terrycanon [SHARE LINK] THIS IS A LOW QUALITY PREVIEW. Please log in to see the good quality stuff. Also a good time to test/learn lighting, do (self) portraits and more. Food photography is another genre. Mike Martin: MMartinPhotography.com

It stopped working on autofocus ages ago - it just started continually hunting forward and back - but I shall have to see if I can use it on manual focus, which is best for macro work anyway. I asked about a repair but the cost seemed prohibitive. Still, you've given me some ideas. Cheers It's all about the light...

I also have the 70D for about a year and a half. I purchased the 80D mainly for my Sigma 150-600 C. We have a trip planned for May at Yellowstone so I was wanting to use the 70D with a Sigma 18-300mm as mainly landscape and the 80D on the 150-600 for wildlife. One thing I noticed right away is the shutter noise is a lot quieter than the 70D at high frame rate. Also get a bigger buffer when shooting RAW than the 70D. Oh, and the 100% viewfinder is awesome! Once I did AFMA on the 80D with the 150-600, sharpness and iq looked a lot better than the 70D did but I must admit I have not done any AFMA on the 70D with either lens. More intuitive layout of the menus on the 80D verses the 70D. I know these are just a few things but they are what I noticed in differences right away. I will have more insight once I played with it a little more but for my situation getting it has been a good idea! I used an 80D and Sigma 150-600C last May in Yellowstone. I think you'll like the combo. I'm hoping to go back this May. I haven't really played with video yet, but I'm hoping to shoot more this year - I like the idea of 600mm with the 3x@1080p. http://www.flickr.com/photos/63710159@N07/
