Uh, it's different, that's for sure. See it in number 1, for sure. Along the bottom of the closed door and the door jamb to the left and top of the open door.

I agree with Windpig.....your processing, with regard to color, is way over the top. Seems all of the pictures you post have very exaggerated, garish colors.

Is it a good thing? Well, all of us know how subjective both making pictures and viewing them can be. Please know that I'm certainly not suggesting that you change your style to better suit me or anyone else. After all, they're your pictures. If you have found an audience for them then good on you.

However, if you're looking for input, this type of processing strikes me as kind of amateurish. When the composition, content, proper exposure fail, then push the colors over the top to attract attention.

This is just an opinion and, as I said above, if this is your style and you like it, carry on. ;-)a

I figured that would go over well.

It's not a matter of thinking 'outside the box'.......a nice, worn out term.

And yes, amateurish.

Here again, if you like it, good on you.

Moving right along.......

Meow kittens, play nice.

I don to think calling anyones non commercial work amateurish is constructive.

I also don't think it is realistic to ask only for praises of images and not constructive criticism. With that said I will continue with, I am not a fan of the composition. The door is too centered and the barrel distortion from the lens is distracting. Tilting the camera down slightly would have fixed most of the distortion. I like the tone of the super saturated colors. I do think the saturation of the red being so high messes with the dimensionality of the door frame.

I try to make art by pushing buttons
