Wow! That kangaroo shot is probably one of most liked photos in this thread... Great shot!

Yeah.... it's a totally unexpected photo with the 16-35 f/4L IS.

Fantastic. Your image just sealed my decision to acquire this lens.

If you were in UK you could have bought mine. It's not taken 200 shots, it just not getting any use on my 7D. Neither has my 70-200 ii, impulse buys both of them........

Great Roo shot, what was he doing at the beach I wonder ??

I am surprised on how close you are to the kangaroo.

That's actually very easy. I've encountered kangaroos many times in all parts of Australia. In my experience kangaroos are very friendly, especially during daytime when they are very sleepy / mellow most of the time.
You can just walk to the kangaroo and get the shot. ;) My 2 year old daughter was petting the kangaroo only a couple of seconds later, I also have many family photos that are dear to me (I don't post any of these online).

It's a terrific lens IMO. I had the Sigma 10-20 on APS-C and the 17-40 on full frame, but I like the 16-35 the best!

Holy cow what a shot!

How did you get so close to the little guy!

Thanks Brules. It's not difficult to get close (I have many more wide angle kangaroo shots).

This is such a cool old bridge. I know it's not the most awe inspiring photo, but I like it.

Edit: I went back and did a single exposure edit, and ended up liking that one better. So the bottom is the non-HDR edit.
