So how is everyone? Stina, is your hubby on the mend? Skip's bone scan came back negative so we can breathe a sigh of relief & plug onward. Ready for spring... I planted my side yard this week and added river rock & small boulders so am glad that project is done.

Mr. Grayson turned 6 months old this past week and is sitting up all alone & trying to get up on his hands & knees. I love it when they start to get a bit more independent & can play a bit by themselves. He is so cute & mostly a happy boy; my only blue-eyed grandchild and turning reddish blonde.

He's adorable, Maureen!
Glad to hear the good news about Skip. My hubby is getting better and I can leave him all day while I'm at work. :-)
We just need to get him back to normal so he can do his own chores now. :p

Hello all.......

I'm sorry it's been awhile. We have spent the last 3 weeks in Huntington Beach taking care of my MIL! She had Bronchitis. After taking her to emergency 3 times, the third time was the charm, they finally gave her some medication that worked.
The key meds being an inhaler that was able to cut through the cough. Her lungs were clear from day 1.
However, she did nothing but moan and groan, whine, and complain the entire time! I don't make that much noise whenever I have pancreatitis:-)

Then I found out this week that my father, who is on hospice care, has pneumonia! I'm not handling it well. Plus, my MIL is still giving us.....(you fill in the blank). I told my husband to handle her, as I can't handle both her and my father. I'm afraid if I hear her say she's dying, I'm going to give her what for! Which would not make for good relations, so to speak! Okay, enough drama;-)a

Stina, I'm happy to hear your husband is on the mend.

Maureen, good news about Skip, and Grayson is adorable!

Lynn, when it rains, it pours. Too bad your MIL is such a grouch. It is always so hard when aging parents decline but I think it helps when they pass because everyone is exhausted and ready for it to be over. Both my parents as well as Skips parents had a hard last couple of years. Hang in there.......:love::love:

Great stuff, enjoy Maureen. You will undoubtedly set the bar very high for my visit in August! (Stay out of those "special" cafes)

We navigated public transportation out to Keukenhof today to see the miles of tulip fields & visit the gardens. Oh my! Words nor pictures can describe it. I have no computer with me so I snapped a few shots off my phone.... we probably strolled through 3 miles of this in every color imaginable.

No pictures today... we visited the Van Gogh museum for 4 hours, then hiked across the city to the Anne Frank house. For those who did not buy online tickets, the line was about a mile long with a 5 hour wait to get in!!! Very emotional. I took scenery shots with my camera but were not allowed to take pictures inside either venue.

Today we toured Rembrandt's house & wandered the flower market & ate cheese & bread at a little cafe. I learned that Rembrandt died a pauper & was buried in the pauper's grave at a nearby church. He never knew his wealth & popularity.

Tomorrow is our last day here....we are touring the windmills of Old Holland, a cheese maker & watching how wooden Dutch clogs are made.
