Tvw's image of the kangaroo on the beach resonates with people not only for the excellent subject and background, but for the image's adherence to the rule of thirds. The line of the shore falls on the third and the eye of the 'roo falls at the intersection on the thirds. The horizon is level and the framing is spacious. It's pretty much a perfect photograph.

My only nitpik with the first shot was that I would have liked a wider shot. I didn't like to say, as it really was a great shot anyway. This shot really nails it for me. :-)
