The a6500 works on a Canon 400mm f/2.8 IS L and the Sigma 120-300 f/2.8 OS (non sport) via the Sigma MC-11 with both AF-S and AF-C.

took the A6500 out for the first time .. I mean for a real outing not just chasing the cat or gf around at home..
my first and only , nieces baptism
that's her with my son
camera did well
I contemplated between my a7sii and a6500.. glad I brought the a6500 , love my a7sii but its af is nothing to write home about ..
the a6500 touch screen really helped out and satisfied with its high iso performance ,, sure it cant beat the a7sii , so perhaps in that regard , being in a not so brightly lit church the a7sii would have served me well , with cleaner shots .. but I can definetly crop a little more with the a6500 and being able to quickly change focus points was a nice thing.. and for the most part iso 6400 was the most I had to do .. and this camera seems to do decently well at iso 6400

this was in church , I think shutter speed was at 100th.. I may have been able to go lower since most of these were posed , but my son was doing the camera work half the time..as I was the godfather and couldn't always be doing the camera .. so I set it to 1/100 f4 auto iso for him
lowest iso went to was iso 2000.. highest was 16000 iso
this was a family affair..
had it been paid ,I would have had the 16-35 on the a7sii for most of the work and then the 55 1.8 on the a6500 , I think this combo would have given me cleaner shots and been able to keep iso lower for the a6500

well the celebration is this coming Saturday , and that's how i'll have the cameras setup

iso 6400 its usable , ideal no.. I think 3200 is where id shoot to stay at .. but I've had a few cameras .. and this is the cleanest iso6400 I've gotten out of a apsc camera... better than my rebel t4i that's for sure

i'm no noise reduction expert , i'm sure some people here could have cleaned up really well with these , all I did was a simple LR noise reduction of +10-15

Many more high ISO samples in flickr link below
To be honest my biggest concern with this camera , and sony in general , is my struggle with color .. especially skin tones .. I struggle to get them right

Went by bestbuy and they had one open box for $1295 I was so damn tempted to get it but owning the a7ii I don't think it would have been the right choice.

Am I wrong?
