Good ones, Ian. I like the pose in the first one the best, though I often think that the immature birds are more attractive. And it's cold here too.

You are a lucky man, I'm always jealous off how many eagles you have close by- you also are a pretty good shot with that camera

Thanks for commenting Al. I agree with all of what you said. The adult eagles are just more glamorous:)

Thank you very much Bob. There seems to be an unusual number of eagles around this spring. Maybe they had a hard winter finding food. I appreciate your comments.

Intheswamp nailed it. Gorgeous shot! Really makes you think about what he might be doing next.

Oooh, I *guess* a couple more is ok. ;)

That second one is full of energy and a great shot!

I blew right by the first one...then I looked back at it and that eagle has a "Ok, big boy, I'm gonna get a taste of your carcass one of these days...just you wait!!!".

You better be careful, he looks serious....

Ha, thanks Ed. The setting sun was so bright and I took off the extender to shoot at 500mm, so I was able to boost the shutter speed to 1/3200 and 1/4000 for those shots, and they came out nice and sharp. Yea he doesn't look real pleased with me does he? 8-)

Thank you for #2 (you know what I mean:-)). These really are awesome shots. Loving that light, too! And I do think your title is accurate.

Haha Rog except he picked a spruce tree again instead of a pine! The light was the best I've experienced in months. Thanks for dropping by.
