I've come to the same opinion that I don't need to go with continuous lighting. For the money it seems like Godox products give a lot of value but I'm concerned about light meter compatibility.

Press the read button on the flash meter; press the test fire button on the XT-1; read the result. Works every time.

That's how I've used my Minolta flash meter with every electronic flash I've owned over the years.

Since the Godox X System has remote power control, I then make any adjustment to the light via the XT-1 and take another reading.

Simple but great advice! Why didn't I think of that? Thanks for sharing with someone who obviously has so much to learn.
