Hello all, inspired by a trip to Iceland, I just picked up the 40D again, and shot some real pictures for the first time in years. I really hope to keep with it this time.

I'm still rocking the 40D I bought 10 years ago. The only time I ever really wished for something more was while I was shooting the milky way on a vacation (too much light pollution around me to do this regularly). Faster glass would have definitely helped, but at f3.5 (Rokinon fisheye) and ISO3200 there was quite a bit of noise.

I'm looking to get back into Photography as a Hobby. I prefer shooting in low light w/ Fast Primes. Should I give serious consideration to the 40D as the body?
