I shoot a 5D mk III. Upgraded a while back from the 6D. Loved my 6D way more tbh but that's water under the bridge. My concern with the 5D is the autofocusing. I suppose I can try to fully setup the focus points just for the eyes but changing framing and stuff makes it a huge pain in the ass.
The facial recognition is ok but it gets the nose/cheeks/mouth and not so much the eyes. I could set it up for back focusing but again annoying and seems stupid to do
I watched a video and saw a guy with some Sony mirrorless (assuming the a7 of sorts) that had automatic eye focusing
I was thinking about selling my 5D and getting a high end a7
I have a bunch of canon/sigma art series lenses.
Afraid of losing quality or something when swapping and using a converter mount
Thoughts?
I love the idea of mirrorless for portraits although I do shoot skateboarding and kinda wanna keep my mkIII just for that.
